Lizzie Fortunato Jewels
Lizzie Fortunato Jewels began at Duke University in 2002 when designer Elizabeth Fortunato and her sister, Kathryn, began marketing Elizabeth’s jewelry to their peers and developing a devoted following. Elizabeth and Kathryn relocated to Manhattan after graduation, where Elizabeth spent a year as a fashion publicist, before launching Lizzie Fortunato Jewels with Kathryn in the Spring of 2007. In January 2008 the line was honored with Daily Candy’s Sweetest Young Thing of 2007 award for “the year’s most innovative, inspiring and promising designer.” In addition to creating her own collection at New York City fashion week, Fortunato designed a capsule collection of jewelry for Victoria Bartlett’s velocity-inspired, Spring/Summer 2009 VPL runway show. Lizzie Fortunato Jewels has also created exclusive lines to appear on the runway for Suno.
