Gina Nigrelli-Smith founded her vintage-inspired jewelry line Jules Smith in 2007. Inspired by the strong and stylish look of women in the 1970’s and 1980’s, her designs exude a modernized sensibility with a whimsical, effortless appeal. A former ballet dancer and fashion editor, Nigrelli-Smith studied at NYU and earned a degree in fashion design from The International Academy of Design in Chicago. Jules Smith was formed while Nigrelli-Smith was residing in the Caribbean. She has since relocated to New York and Jules Smith has continued to expand with more distinctive collections and brand extensions, including sunglasses. Nigrelli-Smith’s designs are often featured on trend-setting celebrities including Diane Kruger, Blake Lively, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Mary-Kate Olsen, Taylor Swift, Leighton Meester, Kristen Stewart, Camila Alves, Anna Lynne McCord, Whitney Port, and Emmanuelle Chriqui.
