Growing up in Bombay, Ranjana Khan's obsession with beautiful embellishments began at an early age. At 17, she became a fashion model, traveling the world and expanding her creative vision in the process. For the last ten years, Khan has worked with many of the world's greatest couturiers and fashion designers—from Jean‐Paul Gaultier to Alber Elbaz— providing concepts, techniques, and inspiration to achieve intricately detailed pieces executed in surprising ways. One characteristic that remains true to every piece is her traditional technique of embroidery and unique embellishment – the very skill that put her on the map. She mixes hard and soft, applying disparate elements in striking combinations. Every season Ranjana is inspired by various cultures, recent travels and exotic traditions, which all serve as her core inspirations for her collection.
