After moving to New York from Thailand in 1986, Santi Tiangratanakul founded Santi. In 1994, Santi and two partners, Tom Schaffer and Frank Koo, formed Pierre Urbach by Santi, continuing the Santi line under the corporate name of Samoto Designs.
Santi’s designs draw their inspirations from contemporary fashion and vintage looks, always aiming to achieve balance between aesthetics and functionality. They attempt to complement every outfit or occasion, from daytime to night.
Santi handbags are hand-made in India by craftspeople who have mastered the centuries-old tradition of silk workmanship. They are made from fine silk, sequins, crystals, shells, beads, embroidery, leather and stones.
